Today I was going to take a picture of my shoes that I will use for running (at least for the time being), but I didn’t start running today. According to Hal Higdon’s plan, today is a day of rest, or I can stretch and strength train. A few pushups and sit ups will do for now. I think it is funny to rest on the first day of training even though I haven’t run yet. Oh well, it was a nice day of rest. But I will run three miles tomorrow according to the plan and will have a picture of my tomorrow........hopefully.
Because my family and I really didn’t do anything today, it wasn’t that easy to get a picture for my “project 365”. I only took a few of my kiddos. Ashton LOVES his baby sister. He calls her “baby care” for baby Claire, which just melts my heart. He brings her binkies to her and puts toys on her lap so she can play with them. Occasionally he will even say “hold her” and we will put her on his lap and attempt to take pictures of the two of them together. Trying to get both of them to look is almost impossible, and after 30 seconds, Ashton will say “all done” and let go of her. So here is the attempt at getting the picture not only for this project but also for the sake of having one of them together.
I know this isn't the clearest pictures, however, I don't like to use the flash because it makes for horrible shadows and washed out faces, and because we were indoors, I had to make the ISO pretty high. I'm not exactly sure what I had it set on, but it was at least 1000. I had my f-stop set to 2.8, and my shutter speed was 1/100. I am no professional, but I just wanted to give you an idea of different settings I use. I am also doing this in an attempt to look back at my pictures and hopefully see some growth in them. Someone else looks at this picture and see my settings on my camera, they may say, "oh my gosh, why did she do that", but this is a learning experience for me and I am enjoying it.
Are you training for a half marathon? Or some other distance race?
ReplyDeleteI'm attempting a half, we will see :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE that you're doing Project 365 (as I am too). Did you get the idea from Scrapbooks Etc. Magazine? If so, remember, Becky Higgins (I think is who wrote the article) says it's ok to not have perfect pictures everyday! Good luck keeping up with it!
ReplyDeletelove your blog! yay for running!
